Last week (August 2024), our very own Chief Appraiser and Veros’ SVP of Valuations, Jeff Hogan, appeared on The Appraisal Buzzcast, hosted by Jim Morisson and Hal Humphreys. Hogan’s segment highlighted major discussions regarding appraisers and technology, including the topic of whether appraisals will always need a human engagement or not. Hogan additionally spoke on the progress made with technology, and just how beneficial it can be to appraisers in relation to streamlining the appraisal process altogether. The future of appraisals won’t require the traditional toolbelt, but rather, be completed through the click of a few buttons on your mobile device.
Hogan was also given a chance to dive into his upcoming segment at the Valuation Expo conference coming up on Aug 19th through the 21st in Las Vegas, where he will discuss several topics at the ‘Man vs. Machine’ debate.
